2013 Season Schedule of Events

Thanksgiving at the Homestead

Date: 24 November 2012 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM
Location: Nathan Hale Homestead
Shop, sip & celebrate this holiday season with Connecticut Landmarks' Nathan Hale Homestead. The Homestead is open the Friday after Thanksgiving for tours and shopping and Saturday for a cooking demonstration. Travel through centuries of Connecticut history with friends and family, visit the museum shop for free for the best of local artisans and period-inspired gifts, sip hot cider and participate in special holiday themed programming. Regular admission applies for guided tours.

On Saturday, November 24th from 11 am to 4 pm, Connecticut Landmarks will present Thanksgiving at the Homestead. Churn the butter! Grate the cinnamon! Rotate the spit! Participate or watch the Homestead staff, dressed in period costume, as preparations for a harvest meal are in progress. The kitchen will be bustling with hearth cooking activities, along with food preservation, as the garden bounty will be stored to last well into the winter. "Come, ye thankful people" for house tours, mulled cider and light refreshments. $10/$8 CTL members, children $7/$6.
