Tour Options:

House Tour- Enjoy an in-depth tour of the Joshua and Nathaniel Hempsted Houses. Learn about the life of Joshua the diarist and his family and view colonial artifacts.

Walking Tour- Discover the rich and diverse history of the Hempsteds’ neighborhood! The walking tour will feature a discussion of the rich African-American heritage in New London. (Starts May 2008)

Hearth Cooking- For an additional fee, pre-formed groups may book an intimate hearth cooking program in the Nathaniel Hempsted House. Participants learn about hearth cooking and assist in the preparation of the meal.
