Hearth Cooking: Hempsted Harvest, Apples & Corn

Summary: Learn how to cook on the open hearth, and then eat a hearty meal which will include corn chowder and apple pie. Participants will learn how to press cider, make cornbread, and churn butter. $60/ $50 for CTL members.

Hearth Cooking: Bounty of the Harvest, A Time of Plenty

Location: Hempsted Houses
Summary: In this class we will prepare a full farmhouse meal, from soup to dessert. Recipes will use foods and cooking methods familiar to the Hempsted family, and include the wonderful bounty of a farm harvest.
