Infinitango & Exhibition Opening of Vibrant Works
Connecticut Landmarks' Butler-McCook House & Garden & Main Street History Center will present the first installment of the annual Summer Concert Series, as part of the Greater Hartford Art Council's Aetna First Thursday, featuring music by Infinitango, the popular History Happy Hour and the exhibit opening of Hartford resident Sandy Parisky's Vibrant Works in the Aetna Gallery. The quartet Infinitango will present a fusion of Argentine, Nuevo, and International tango styles. The Connecticut-based ensemble features violinist, Jessica Meyer, accordionist, Markus Centola, pianist, Maria Centola, and double bass player, Jonathan Crane.

July 1st, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pmTierra Mestiza
Annual Garden Party and Arts Raffle
Featuring guitar-based acoustics from Latin American ensemble, Tierra Mestiza. The group's musical style includes traditional Mexican and Latin American music from the 1930s - 50s with native instrumentals. This concert made possible by the Evelyn Preston Memorial Trust Fund. The Garden Party will also include free tours of the first floor of the Butler-McCook House, and raffle prizes from area merchants including tickets to local arts venues, merchandise and services.

August 5th, 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Cool Cat Jazz
A five-Cool Cat Jazzpiece Dixieland and swing jazz band. The ensemble has been presenting their brand of New Orleans jazz, big band swing, gospel and Mardi Gras party music for nearly 30 years. Their performances have taken them across the US to the UK.

September 2nd, 5:30-7:30 pm
Lorena Garay & Exhibition Opening of works by Edith Dale Munson (1875 - 1977)
The museum will present Spanish, Latin and classical music by guitarist Lorena Garay. Lorena is an award-winning graduate of both the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico and the Hartt School of Music. Her beautiful compositions and arrangements are an irresistible blend of classical guitar and Latin rhythms! September 2nd will also feature the art exhibition opening of works by Edith Dale Munson which runs through October 31st.


Sponsored by Bank of America, the Greater Hartford Arts Council, and the Knox Foundation each evening will include strolls through the historic garden, wine from Sharpe Hill Vineyard, the official wine of Connecticut Landmarks, and light refreshments. The event is free with a suggested food and per drink donation of $5.
